Has production stopped on all buck striders?

I just got a 2007 catalog in the mail today... it is full of Buck Striders.

Welcome to the Buck subforum nim145.

The 880, 881, 882, 884, 887, 888, 889 and 890 are all still in production. Visit Bucks web site for more info.

The thick Buck Striders like the 880 are awesome. I have heard however (I don't have first hand experience) that the cheaper ones that cost like $50 give or take (like the 889) have bad locks and easily fail a light spine whack.

So you are saying that the 880sp is still in production?
then why no pics or details in th catalog? Goshen and I have been through it front to back and no 880 anything.

I see what you mean IDABOW. I can't find the 880 in the 2007 catalog either but it is still listed on the Buck website. So I'm not sure what to think.

Messersmith,
Does the 2007 Catalog show exactly the same knives as shown on the Buck website? I dont have access to a catalog and dont even know where to get one (dont see a way to order one from the website) and I would like to know more about Buck Limited Editions, past and present offerings, from the Custom Shop. Is there any history available on what HAS been offered in the past? THANKS!

The 2007 catalog and the website match up pretty well. The 880 was the only difference I noticed from a brief comparison.

I sent you an email about the catalog.

If you join the BCCI, members get a new model year catalog, every march (or thereabouts :D )

The Blades guide to knives and their values has a pretty good selestion of LE knives listed from over the years, and also the BCCI newsletter occassionally has the LE knives listed from the past year I believe... :D

The 880 and 881 ARE NOT in production...

The only Strider Bucks in the 2007 price list and catalog are:

882 (G10 and 154CM), 884 (trainer), 887 ( Taccom 420HC), 889 (taccom OD,CB, BK, black oxide blade) and the 890 (G-10, black oxide fixed blades.)
I hope this helps!

I don't want to get the whole Strider flame war going again. However, I would like to see Buck end their relationship with him.

This has been well covered. But CJ - and Paul Bos have a good relationship with Strider. Besides - if that happened then we would not have access to these great knives.
