Has Sikayo Model Ever Changed?

I bought a pair of Sikayos from 2011 - used the smaller 6.5" but never used the 9" and I'm on the fence if I want to keep the 9" or sell it. But I may change my mind in the future, and if they changed the design slightly over the years, then maybe I should keep it so it matches the 2011 6.5" model I have that I will probably keep.

I know CRK tends to do some small minor changes over the years, and the experts on this forum usually know!

I don't really think so. The design has been set for quite some time. I have seen a variation of the Sikayo that is a bread knife..but think they are super rare..only a few were ever made.

Agreed. I'm not a fan of chisel grinds, especially on a chef's knife. I'm still wanting a large Sikayo, however... :)

I've been meaning to pick up a set for my wife, I didnt realize they were chisel ground. Worst case, someone can always regrind i'm sure.

They are a full chisel grind. No primary bevel that can be reground into anything else.

Been looking at the American Kami M2 and M6 in favor of the Sikayo models lately.

I have both the 6.5" & 9". I use the 6.5" for everything's in the kitchen I can think of. I had the 9" in the box for a couple years before I finally pulled it out recently and broke it in cutting up a watermellon . Both are flawless in the kitchen. They have always been the same, though I will mention they Do make left and right handed versions. If I was only going to buy one, it would be the 6.5"
