Has the Case Eisenhower been put in the vault?

I heard this recently. Apparently it happened this year if it did. I called a couple of years ago and it hadn't been put in there.

If this is true I'm not happy:(

The last year it was made is 2010 as far as i know. The goldenrod bone Eisenhower was the first one i got. I now have a "few". :)

Allegedly they discontinued the "vault" program in 2012 and did one final run of some of the patterns that were in it (i.e., temporarily discontinued), and then officially discontinued them all. So based on that information, the Eisenhower/senator pattern is no more, and the last ones made were in 2012. Though just like they brought back the Doctor's and Barlow patterns, they can always change their minds I suppose.

Calling it a vault program just makes it look like they want us to know they're messing with us.
Here's mine, from 1970.

I had an opportunity to speak with Katie Shonts-Saar from Case a few years ago at a local Case dealer event and discussed the disappearance of several patterns (Barlow and Copperhead). She told me they had made a decision to cut back their overall list of patterns to the most popular ones and concentrate on those, just with the normal changeup of blades and handle materials in those.

Like all corporate decisions, it is subject to change as market conditions, customer demand, or management whim might dictate. I was surprised when they re-released the Congress and Doctor's patterns, based on what I had understood from Katie's comments.

Ya. Talked to them today. :(
