Has the RC6 blade ever been broken?

I just received my first RC6 from Chestnut Ridge knife, Thank you very much Tom. I wish it was a little thicker though, maybe .200 (instead of .188) like my OKC3S bayonet. The OKC3S is a monster bayo, and mine was punished and survived 2 years in the real world. I wanted a large RC knife about the same size as the OKC3S and bought a RC6. Has anyone out in the real world ever broken the RC6 blade, in a real world situation that is (not with a hammer and torch in a basement). I have worked one of my RC4 (while playing in the woods) without a problem. Its just that the RC6 is longer, and I always think it would bend. I trust the RC reputation, high quality strong blades, and I know that my RC4 has done well. I want to hear from the people who have used this size RC blade in particular. Thank you.

The only time I've heard of one breaking was the infamous "prying bricks out of a driveway with the tip" incident some time ago. I doubt you need to worry about it. :D

If they did, they never sent it back or posted about it on here.

I personally love the thickness of the RC-6. It's a great cutter.

ETA: I forgot about the brick prying incident.....:D

Some people could break a bowling ball in half given enough time and determination.;)

Ooh...I think you just found the new challenge for the next giveaway contest! :D :D :D

Been there, done that. :D

It took a while, but if you shoot an old bowling ball enough times, eventually, it will break. It was wood on the inside. Who woulda thunk it?

You guys are too funny! That bowling ball thing made me laugh! I cant image what would make someone break open a bowling ball ? I have heard of shooting bowling pins, but not balls.
...then again, my wife really knows how to break my balls, thats for sure!

I busted a bowling ball once.I shot it at 75 yards using my M70 375 h&h mag.,firing 300 gr.solids.really did a number on it to!

Why break tradition? :D

At any rate, there's only been one RC-6 that's broken that we know about, so why waste all this free internet space? Gotta' use it all up, ya know. ;)

:D I wasn't complaining, just admiring how it went from broken RC-6s to shooting bowling balls in one page.

I had forgotten about that one. I was about to post that we hadn't replaced any RC-6 knives. Glad you guys remembered that one before I lied!

Shit, I think we had the same boss.

Either that, or were both really big screwups.:D

My squad leader in the army used to say that you could lock a certain private in a padded room with a 1 lb cannonball, and by the end of 24 hours he'd have lost, broken, or eaten it. I don't remember this particular individual he was talking about though.
