Has the Skyline Changed

So this has been driving me nuts I noticed a while back that the image on the Kershaw site for the skyline shows a knife that looks different. The thumb studs look flat rather then having the tapered machine work and the grind on the blade looks very different as well. The swedge seems to be missing and the grind looks higher the g10 even appears to have a different texture to it.

I know I'm not losing my mind the blade is different I just haven't been able to find any information as to why. Did Kershaw change the Skyline or is this just an image of a prototype that was mistakenly posted on their site?

That was an original rendering. There are no skylines that look like that image. Any current skyline you see is the skyline that was originally made.

You can find Red Skylines here they go in and out of stock quick though.

here's an idea....why not make a sticky thread about kershaw skyline and have two polls.....one regarding handle color and one regarding blade material.
whatever the most popular handle and blade combo...we have them produce it for blade forum members to order......anyone else like this idea?

I like this idea, it would be very cool to have a forum knife that is a non traditional.
