i have been a knife nut all my life but since i have gotten involved in HI imports the only knife that really excites me is a new kurk--been along time that i have found a blade that really makes me want more and more--the feel in the hand--the little differences that makes yours special--the pride of ownership--the knowing that this was made by a master in a far away place--the friendships you can develope from having this problem--lol--heck i can go on and on--as i'm sure you all can--what this comes down to is:
thank you HI Imports for making it all seem complete  :)

Yep, I was that way real bad and still am to some extent. When a new khuk comes along that is styled more like the old ones with their rounded profiles I get all excited all over again.
But it's important to me that a khuk doesn't have the habaki bolster of the cho creep as that turns me off quicker than a cold water bath on two dogs mating. ;)
That's the reason I'm all hot and bothered about the 17" Foxy Folly!
The first Foxy Follys was modeled from a new fangled kind of substance from a mold off the original khukuri but the kamis made the knife way too thick and heavy so it doesn't compare with the original.:(
If the 17" special run turns out like we want it may just turn out to be what I consider to be the epitome of a khukuri!!!!
If done to our specs it will have the appearance, weight, cutting action, and versatility that what I consider a world class khukuri should have!!!!:D  :D
If it should happen to come with a nice flat well made scabbard like my BGRS has; well that will just be an added plus.

I've always liked old and odd shaped knives from all over the world so the khuk fits right in. I'm also somewhat fond of the Keris, Sundangs, Barongs, Goloks, and such. I'm wanting at least one of each before I'll be somewhat satisfied.:D ;)

Soon, you find yourself checking for the Uncle Bill's deal of the day. When you don't get one for a while, you tell yourself you're cured, but in your heart, you know you're only in remission.

The last thing I bought from HI was an antler handled JKM-1. I loved it so much, and then a couple of days later, I lost it. No sign of it anywhere. Gone. That broke my heart and I havent really wanted a new HI since.

Other knives still appeal to me though. The last thing I bought was a big horn sheep handled prototype Rogue bowie from Bark River. I really, really, like that one.

man lost your knife that sucks never had that happen hope it never does--i check out the sells everytime they come up--but i have a real problem with money right now--THE LACK OF IT-lol--but when things get straightened out many will be mine  :)
