I still love my original Izulas but since getting the II it's been my edc blade of choice. That extra 1/2" of handle length has made me really love this knife.

So has the II replaced the original Izula as your edc knife?

Originally, I always thought the Izula was to small for my hands and was excited when the Izula II was announced. When I received my Izula II, I realized it wasn't for me and ordered an original Izula. After receiving the original Izula, I realized it's perfect for me and gave the Izula II to a friend that is deployed. He loves the Izula II btw.

For now the izula has taken a back seat to the Izula II but I rotate alot of my Blades
I still use my Izula alot as well

Got an Izula II on Saturday and have been carrying it instead of my regular Izzy since. I'm actually leaning toward liking the regular one better as it seems to fit and ride in my pocket better. Give me another week or three and I'll have formed a solid opinion.

i like the smaller handle on the original izula. I just rewrapped mine not 10 minutes ago, and i have to say, it is really comfortable.

RB - if you decide you don't like your izzy 2 in a month or 3, email me and we may be able to talk trade for other gear.
just got mine last night, but I really like the feel.

Big yes for me. I really liked the regular Izula, and was a bit skeptical about the Izula II. I didn't really think the extra half inch on the handle and the full scales would make that big of a difference, but they truly do.

Still keeping my Izula, I'll find a role for it. But the Izula II just suits me better for EDC.

Yes! :thumbup::thumbup:
Totally more comfy, for me at least. It finally feels like the heavy use knife it was meant to be. GJ ESEE!

I will keep that in mind Erik. Just be aware it will probably end up convexed.

Yeppers.!! Thats how I think about the small but Stout Izzy II it is the GI ESEE. To have that extra bit of grip makes it my EDC. And it carrys anywhere with comfort. I don't think I have to tell any owners of how Tough & *Unreal* Sharp these are. (I cut up 6-700 some mags & papers for kicks and its as though I never used it) Its more like ..OK how do you get it dull? #1 Blade as I see it. enjoy edgy

I would like to find out but since I got my Izula about a month ago it has replaced my Sebenza and actually every other knife I own. I don't know what kind of magic they crammed into this little chunk of 1095 but it has become a part of me. The two greatest knives I own now can be had for less than $100 a piece, my Izula and my Becker BK2.

Can't wait to get a 3, 4, 5...........

I need a sheath before I can EDC my moded up Izy 1. The Izy 2 feels great in hand though. Absolutely loving it. On my neck every day since it came in the mail.

God bless,
Adam

That's how I feel. If you see me running naked down the street. I'll probably still have the Izula around my neck and I'll be prepared for any cutting tasks like a boy scout. :D
I haven't handled the Izula2 but have found the short Izula handle works well for certain up close tasks that longer handles would hinder. I'm sure they both have their pros and cons.
If anyone hates their Izula2, I have a spare Izula I'd probably trade.

I would definitely like to add An esee to my collection. I really think the Izmir is perfect for me though. Might work as a stocking stuff, ha!

the original izula is still my edc
tho i really like the II
the little izzy just fits my pocket better

No. I prefer my original IZULA. After I put the handles on, it is the perfect pocket knife, in the sheath of course, and is a great length. I would rather ESEE make the handle slabs for the II without the hole.

My ESEE3 mil replaced my original Izula. When I get my Izula 2 it will replace my 3mil. for a while anyways.
