Howdy folks, I picked up this knife yesterday for a multitude of reasons. It's stag, long, slim, has a cool etch and has unusual razor sharp fine serrations. Multiple different searches turn up a pic of the same style knife but nothing else. Anyone know anything of them to satisfy a curious person?

Thanks, Pete

Well, it looks like a Copperhead lockback, some kind of hunter hence the serrations. Hase is the German word for Hare and it's stainless steel. This style of knife is often found with 2 blades, saw and blade or blade guthook and quite a few German knives followed this formula.

Thanks Will, i had figured out what hase meant. I was wondering more specifically about the company and this knife. its well made and i find it strange to find so little on it. I did find a Hase company in Germany that makes some tools and files. Their hare symbol is different but i bet they were somehow related.

It definitely looks like a German made knife. Could be European red stag for covers.

Here is what I've concluded with help from someone on another site. It was a buildout for Hase based on a Puma 941. The blade is almost identical as are most of the rivets placement and humpback release. The front bolster is different, but not unusual to Puma.

Here is a pic of a 941 I borrowed from another thread. I'd like to know what others think.
