Fello knifemaker Thomas Haslinger of Calgary, Alberta just completed this little baby, and since I supplied the damascus and it looks so cool, thought I'd share. It has a San-Mai damascus blade, 200 layers of 1084/15N20 laddered either side of a core of 0-1, Devin Thomas Mokume bolsters and knock out iron wood scales. Of course the action is silky smooth, and workmanship top notch. For more info on it, check out his web site at www.haslinger-knives.com

Clint,

great choice for a core steel in your san mai mix, also very nice looking damascus.

I really like the bolster on your friend's folder, very elegant knife indeed.

As far as I am concerned that is the nicest folder from Thomas Haslinger that I have seen. That damascus is the perfect blade material for this knife.

Thomas always has made nice knives. I have a few from about 1999. I want to get more but everytime I see him at a show he's already sold the one I want.

That folder went to a lucky guy.

I have one of his kitchen knives. It's indestructible, in addition to all of its other qualities.

This folder is great looking.
