Hi guys,

This Hatchet seems to be the last 106 that was manufactured from Buck. I found it at ebay.

It is listed in the catalog from 2001 with the number 5153, price 110 USD.

Is it a rare one? How many were made? What is the value now (how high would you bid?)

Many thanks for any answer,

Best,
Haebbie

I believe it is the last 106 to be made. For sure one of the last ;)
I think as far as production knives and such it is rare(r?) I really like that model!
As far as value???? I would go $150.00 if it were me I guess.
gd526 is into these pretty well, he could probably give you better info.
I believe there was one on ebay awhile back that went for $200.00?
Anyway good luck Haebbie! I look forward to pics ;)

Awesome Haebbie!
That is very cool.
So far as how much I would've paid? I agree with Jim.

Aw, Now you have done it Jim!

Hey Haebbie! Those 106s date from 2001 in which 1500 were produced with the natural oak deer lazered slabs. A few may be date coded 2000 but the majority will be date coded 2001 on the left side of the throat. That version of 106 was indeed the last of the 106s as we know them. They are a full 1/4 inch thick and quite a handfull for a 'hatchet'. Anything under $200 USD would be a good buy in new condition and with the box. Of course value is subjective to the buyer. How much is it worth to you? At $110 USD, it would be hard to go wrong....if it were me as the buyer, that is.

How did I do Jim?

Messieurs,

thanks a lot for your answers. It seems that it was a good deal to buy the hatchet at once. The seller wrote, that it is NIB without any damages. I'll make some pic's when I got it.

Best,
Haebbie
