hatchet handles

where are you Guys buying your hatchet handles????....i went looking at all the hardware stores and the big box stores...........not much luck in finding handles..........are you purchasing them online???????? thanks

well i finally found hickory handles (small town hardware store), for a couple hatchets, most i found were made overseas out of some real lightweight wood..........

The axe handle looks very similar to ours. Ours are straight-grain hickory and if you send it in we'll sharpen it up for you and put the handle on for $24. including the handle, the sharpening and shipipng it back.

I livein a town in saskatchawan so you can get hickory handles everywhere.
The problem is they are treated with a really thick tacky varnish.
I found a old shovel handle at a used building supply store and am making a handle ut of that.

I get mine at ACE Hardware. Picking out a handle is something you MUST do in person.

Ours come to us untreated. We normally stain them but we sell them unfinished for people who want to do them up themselves.
