I know there must have been some threads about sheaths/ masks/ edge protectors on hatchets, axes or hawks- I couldn't find it.
I've always gotten good ideas from other poster's work and experience- decided to see what you guys are using.
I have used cardboard and duct tape, especially when someone asks me to sharpen a axe and it will spend some time in a vehicle of mine.
I made a couple kydex sheaths for hatchets and going to try and work on a mask for axes when I get some more kydex.

Nice, I think I saw some of those before. I remember the pocket to tuck the flap/ strap in- good idea.
Can you show how the strap is attached on the other side on the ones where it is a separate piece of leather?
I have used a copper rivet and burr- thinking about using snaps on both sides for a more finished look.
I like the leather also- have to admit the kydex is growing on me with the colors and compact smoothness. I can slide either of these hatchets in and out of my front pants pocket without a hitch.

Yikes!!!!! Those look very professional.

This is my second attempt. A piece of old belt for the welt.

Some good looking sheaths.

Here's mine that's already been posted.

If I tried a leather one, it would be very sad-looking. :(
