Hattori fixed blades

If I remember correctly, the older ones that went for the mid $200's were super high quality. The ones that came later from Smokey Mountain knifeworks sold for $79 were not the same quality.
 
Purchased a Hattori dagger about 6 months ago online from World Knives. World Knives says it is the finest production knife they have seen. I agree. Expensive, but well worth every penny.
 
I have a Hattori HA6-2 Medium Fighting Bowie, and it's by far my favorite knife. It a near twin to the Randall Model 5. It's currently over at Sunrise River Custom Knives, where Jay is replacing the leather washer handle with one of black canvas micarta, and making a left hand sheath for it...
 
I've owned a couple of the Hattori fighters, and they seemed to be of pretty high quality.
 
handled one of theirs small hunters… quality is top-notch
sheath's not very usable, yet well-made.
 
I have the Baby Hattori iam very pleased with the blade but thought the handle could of been better.
