Haul from the 2017 Spyderco Factory sale in Golden, CO

Went to the factory seconds sale at Spyderco in Golden on 11-18. Here's what I ended up with.

Lil Lionspy, first quality NIB: $100
Southard Flipper, first quality, NIB: $125
S110V Native, no idea about the defect: $55
Ambitious, lock a little sticky: $12
Military CQI version, small scratch on blade: $75
Manix blurple S110V, blade slightly off center, not touching liners: $75

The yearly sale is for factory seconds, which were rejected because of some defect, usually very small and cosmetic. They also have a small quantity of first quality knives, meaning knives that are of the usual quality you get when you buy a spyderco. This year they were blowing out some discontinued models, which is why the Southard and Lil Lionspy were so cheap.


Another note, there were dozens and dozens of Maxamet Natives on the seconds tables for $70. I should have bought a bunch to resell.

Usually every year around Thanksgiving. Some years they skip it if there isn't enough stock. This was my second year going.

Absolute steal on that Southard. The haul looks nice! Reminds me, I need a native again...
