Just placed my order, now to wait! That's the not so fun part.

Really need a good kitchen knife. I've been trading off between my Lg. Regular and Lg. Insigno, but I need more length. :)

Will try to post some thoughts when it arrives.
 
Congrats. I like the 6" myself, but like an edc, everyone has different preferences when it comes to kitchen knives. I am hoping crk comes out with a smaller blade like in the 3-4" range to cover all the paring knife chores. I asked crk about this and they were supposed to come out with a smaller one, but that was like a year ago. Haven't heard anything since.

I was looking for the bread knife as well, but forgot to ask.

6" sounds nice, but honestly the more blade length I have the more comfortable I feel with it. Especially in the kitchen I don't think you can really have too much blade length. Plus for an extra $25, I didn't think it hurt. If I really like it (and probably will) then I'll also get the 6".

I have a block of knives. They are fully serrated, have plastic handles, a plastic knife block, and are worth probably $4. Hence the EDC kitchen use. :)
 
It got here just now.

This knife feels great in the hand. If it performs as well as it looks I will be very happy! :)

Another thing that blew me away was the packaging. There is a white box, opened the warranty card, information card, and birthday card are sitting on top of a foam block. The top of the block comes off, and the knife is laying with the handle hole around a peg to ensure it doesn't move, recessed into the bottom block.

The attention to detail here goes past simply making great knives, it extends into every aspect of the business and it shows! :thumbup:

I will see if I can get some worthless cell phone pictures up later today / tomorrow along with a proper kitchen review.
 
cant wait to see it. I am going to be ordering a 9" myself as well. My wusthofs are disappointing me more and more..

I believe I snagged the last in-stock right handed one, best to call and see, otherwise you might be in for a wait. :)

ehh crap :grumpy: haha. I will call them tomorrow and see whats up. I dont mind the wait, maybe Ill see if they have a 6 inch in stock :D
