The third logo down on the far right is what I have.

Any ideas as to what year or value? Up close in person there is no visible indication of any stamping of True temper on the top line.

I'm pretty sure there is a thread on here (and likely initiated by Operator1975) that deals with the history of Kelly axes. Use the search feature. Kelly and True Temper (and a host of others) merged somewhere along the way.

I seen one on ebay go for $60 because it is an earlier version before the company started using the True Temper words, but it was in better condition. So now I know it's a little older than all True Temper labeled heads.

According to Operator1975's ongoing thread about history of Kelly: American Fork & Hoe Co. bought out Kelly, and initiated the True Temper name, all in 1930. And then AFH Co. changed it's name to True Temper Corp in 1949. You would assume then that your axe predates the 1930 acquisition of Kelly by AFH, except that AFH changed Kelly Axe Mfg Co stamping over to Kelly Axe Works. Since your's says "Works" but without a True Temper mark it may well be this is a production item sometime between 1930 and 1949.

By the way website yesteryeartools has a lot of information about Kelly axes.

Yesterdays tools is an awesome site! Yes your right it's from 1930-49, maybe earlier. I just read up on a reply Operator said and he said they were popular during 1920s-40s. I recently just seen a Champion Kelley Works without True temper , I might pick that up aswell because it too is pre-49 and will add to the collection of pre-49 Kelley Works axes. Just getting into this crazy axe addiction and can't help myself. :D
