Hi All,

I just wanted to say that I hope you all have a wonderful day. Take the time to stop and smell the rose's, give your kids a hug, and give your significant other a peck on the cheek. Let them know how much they mean to you, call your folks and do the same.

I was going thru my old threads looking for a photo, when I came across the old thread below. I'm sorry if my re-posting this offends some of you, that is not and was not my intentions. When I wrote and posted this thread, my mom was in the other room slipping away from us (Lung Cancer) and was gone two days later.

So I re-post this old thread in her memory and the memory of all the other great Americans who have left this world a better place for the rest of us!

I also wanted to say thank you to Esav B, who was my knight in shining armor with his words of wisdom in a very painful time for me and my family. Pardon me while I wipe the tear from my eye.....Miss you Mom.

You guys are so right,I'm here taking care of my father at his house because he has cancer and I feel lucky to be here. It's sad to see the Lion king sick and helpless. He took the S.Pacific Islands in WW2 and was one of very few that made it home.Today I'm going to slip away for awhile to go to a picnic for a girl I grew up with's son that just came home from Iraq. She is like family and went to see my Dad in the hosp. before I got here. Her other son was killed in Iraq. God bless those kids over there. We have so much to be thankful for.:)

It's a beautiful autumn day here in the Coastal Pacific Northwest. The Wooden Boat Festival is in full swing and it's the largest in its 35 year history, I'm hoping it's a sign of an economic recovery on the horizon.

I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing on 9-11-01. I remember what I was doing for most the entire day. I remember the way the country rallied from that event. Yes, it's great to be an American.

John, I hope you have a great day too... I'm sorry for the lost of your mom... I wasn't on the forum at that time, I don't think... It's a sad day for all us... 9-11 sucks... more for you John, because of your mom... I'm so lucky that my mom is still with me... She will be 80 this year... I call my mom everyday just to hear her voice and tell her I love her so much...
So take some time like John said and Love your family and friends....

John and 'E' your right . I lost my mom last Aug. 12th and I still want to hear her voice . She was a great lady and helped a lot of people . I'm glad I have friends here . DM
