Just got back. Survived another winter trip to Hawk Mountain Pa. off the AT. It was about 8 degrees this morning, 20's during the day. kahuana tooks some pics, hopefully he will post some. I had my 10" MO T, an S90V UNK and the challenge knife. I drove the MO T down a 3 and a half to 4 foot long, 4 to 5 " diameter maple log that had about 9 knots in it. One big knot, the rest were small. I got to test out my new Kelty Redwing 3100 pack. I'm very happy with it.

Scott I've been to Hawk Mtn. to watch the hawks flying. Good that you had a chance to do some testing.. Did you stop off in Pottsville and down a few Black & Tans?

Steve, we weren't actually where you can watch the hawks. We were camped off the AT. Trail head we start at is on Hawk Mountain Rd. We did see a hawk fly over our camp Sunday afternoon.
Didn't make it to Pottsville.
