I ordered my knives at Nov 21. it was stated 4-14 weeks. 8 weeks passed so I asked we still good with the time frame? Answer: "At this time I cannot give you a more accurate time frame. We recently had a military order come in and that takes priority at this time. We apologize for the inconvenience."
My question is, honestly if i don't know you guys this is sounds like a totally scam.. Why you taking new knife orders every week , if you can't keep up what you promising? I understand you only charge when you send it, but what is going on? Are we will get at a max 14 weeks waiting frame, or it will take more? I am waiting for this knife to show up to order over 2.5 years.
Cheers.

I just got charged for one ordered in October. Be patient Grasshopper. Busse is not a giant company that can just throw blades out at will. The heat treatment process itself takes days...

The wait time is just part of the deal. Hang around a while and you'll see the term "two-weeks" bantered around quite a bit. It's a bit of a running joke. Busse Combat prioritizing military orders is something I think is fantastic. Those guys need knives worse than I do and I wouldn't want it any other way.

When you receive your knife you will understand... It is worth the wait. :)

.

They stated 4-14 weeks,, you haven't even hit week 10 yet.
Maybe pulling the trigger a little early on a rant.

For some of us, longer is better! :o

If you are going to complain about something, THAT ISN'T EVEN AN ISSUE, at least be coherent.

Military orders take priority which is how it should be. You are still within the expected time frame.

Have some manners.

I agree,, no need to rush these things :-) lol.

It's a great ride right now to be a Busse Combat customer just enjoy it and good things will come :-)

Sometimes it does take longer. Part of my bladeshowganza order took a while (like a lot of people's did), and iirc I ordered an AALB last August (but I'm sure something taking that long is rare). Honestly not worried about it. It's not like I've paid for it, and it's somewhat expensive so I'm fine with the wait. Worst thing that can happen is I just don't get it.
The majority of orders seem to get out relatively quickly.

I wouldn't count on 14 weeks. The website currently says, "Knives will ship 4-16 weeks from time of order." I have an order from November 7, which will be 16 weeks next Saturday, and my credit card hasn't been charged yet. (And that's fine with me.) On the other hand, there were a couple knives I ordered in late November and December that have been delivered already.

Like I said I am not worry, I said if I wouldn't know them than it would sound fishy. I just was wondering if you can't keep up with your promise, because you have a slow production, than why you coming out with new deals, over and over. I had a business, and my words were the most important, if I knew I were behind, i didn't promise a new time line to my new costumers. Like I said I was waiting to get this knives over 2.5 years, it will not kill me to wait few more weeks...

They haven't gone back on their promise. They said it could be up to 14 weeks, you called them at 8 weeks. 8 is less than 14. I really don't understand what your complaint is.

Pretty elaborate scam to rip someone off for $1...

I had a business, and my words were the most important

I think this sums it up nicely. You had a business. One's word is everything. This is not your business and yet you feel it's ok to suggest that if you didn't know them, you'd think it was scam?! I don't know what you ordered but if you're that sick of waiting - I'm more than willing to take on your order, whatever it is, and wait until it's ready and pay whatever it cost. ;) I'm sure there are others who'd do the same. Just say the word.

I'm new here, but your rudeness is astounding ... This is somones business you're defaming and it isn't even week 8?!.. You also have an obligation when you click that little 'order' button to accept the terms of purchase, namely: patience.

What is wrong with you people? My point was, according to their answer I thought they meant the 14 weeks is not there anymore, because the military order. I just wanted to know than how long. If you just be a lamb, and act like you happy for it, than good for you. I ask questions.. I came from a place where people had carefully scheduled timeframe for their businesses. Like I said "if I don't know them I would think scam"
Like Elio motors... Everybody plays "happy dumb " there to give their money away, and waiting for nothing. That car will never build , it is a scam.
You can run business , and take orders and have delays, I understand, but when I can't keep my promise, i will not promising more and more, so it is just me, but I ran my business differently.
If people never say anything , than things never will change. They don't even answer to my email... So it is a lack of management there , i don't care how cool is their knives are.

A MAgyar, have patience bro, the knife business is a far from an Engineering firm. I am still waiting on knives nearing the 12-13 week mark. I am patient. Always have been for this stuff. Your knives will get to you soon enough. Enjoy them

:jerk it:
The jerkit smiley is not appropriate for use in this forum.

*I've read the sticky and I didn't feel that  could cover it... Hopefully I'm in for just a warning - I don't think I would use it again but if I'm to be banned, then so be it. This bloke is a dickhead. If there was an emoticon for that, I'd definitely use that instead... Maybe :monkey:? Not the same though right?

Additionally, insulting other members is also against the rules of BladeForums. No matter the reason.

It's not a lack of management, it's just their business model, most production knife companies keep lots of stock on hand with all of their distributors, but Busse runs more like a custom knife maker, even with the production models. I understand that it seems weird, but that is why they don't charge until your order is finished, many custom makers would require much more than a single dollar deposit ;).

It looks like English isn't your first language? I understand you weren't actually accusing Busse of running scam, but when you say things like that, especially as a newer member of the forum, it's bound to upset people.

I hope you get your order soon, and that it is everything you are expecting!

Cheers!

With all respect... I would make sure there was a problem before I slammed or used words like "scam" in someone's own forum! Patience, decency, manners. :) Maybe another email would have answered your question before dropping the bomb.

Just my 2¢!

Hey !

Somebody stop this snowball. This person came in here making some pretty far out silly statements.

You guys are TOO GOOD FOR THIS CRUD!

This is a business matter for Mr. BUSSE to handle.

If this joker wants to howl and whine, this is not the place for it.

We are all adults, we all read the website, and if there are questions, there are lovely people to answer them by phone or email.

As a personal example, if my order is filled before April, for my birthday, I will be happy.

If this individual cannot hang with the way Busse does business he is free to cancel his order and one of us will gladly take up the slack.

Otherwise, LET'S DRINK to good friends, good whiskey and good steel!

I've had orders come quickly and some take much longer. None have taken anything like as long as the waits on customs I've had built, nor did I have to deposit money up front for anything from Busse/Swamprat/Scrapyard other than 1 dollar. Customs on the other hand a pretty good deposit is usually paid up front.

As for them not giving you a specific date, they don't want to promise it out on a certain date and then have something happen to delay it. So they give general time frames. Its not a scam or deliberately misleading you. You have to remember its a small shop, not a ton of employees working around the clock. I totally understand the desire to have the knife quickly, you have already waited 2.5 years though a few more weeks will fly by. As for releasing new designs and taking more orders, like most businesses they limit the number available and plan accordingly as to a general time frame to deliver by. They do that to keep interest in the knives and cash flowing through the doors to keep open.
