So, I ended up getting another 'two weeks' with this piece of history. I'm committed to doing some more testing with this bad boy while I have it. Only problem is I need some ideas what to do with it besides the standard wood processing stuff. Anybody got some ideas?

Skinning or processing some game?

Loved your other review posts! Thank you for sharing them~!

Batonned through an ant colony randomly, had no idea until it was split….. :)

Moments later I managed to mess up a couple photos of a nice buck during the rut thanks to the dang autofocus. You probably won't be able to see him in the first photo, just past the brush blurry in the center of the photo. Easier to spot in the second photo near the center.

1. Free hanging or weighted rope slicing...be careful, of course :eek:

2. Food processing

3. Knife throwing ability (if you don't think that'd be too disrespectful of owner)

4. Deliberately dulling edge like digging turnips or taters, then document ease/steps for edge restoration (see respect disclaimer above in #3)

5. Buick processing...just kidding!? :eek::p:confused:

Thats great that you got more time with it. I say shoot the buck and then skin it with the knife.

Here's some different angles showing off this beautiful blade…..

This hand-shaped canvas micarta is gorgeous paired with the solid pins.

Got some 'mechanical' stripping action going on my ASHBM with the Badger Attack, loves to chew through those powder coatings……… :eek:

Disclaimer : Do not try this at home, I am stupid and I like to do stupid things……. :) This will void your warranty, so just don't do it…… :p

I actually really like the 'finish' created by using a sharp edge to help scrape the coating away, nothing like voiding expensive warranties in really dumb ways……. :thumbup:

I had to take a break to resharpen before I get the rest of the coating off the blade, here's how everything looked once I hit pause….. :)

No major edge damage to be noted on the Badger Attack, this A2 done the Busse way is good stuff…… :thumbup:

Basically, the edge just seems to have been blunted or very slightly rolled. I even did some scraping (light pressure) with the Badger Attack edge completely perpendicular to the ASHBM blade, not a good idea with most knives….. :eek:

It took me about 20 min. to get a good working edge again on my tiny little DMT Diasharp hone, no problems at all….. :)
