Was listening to Curtis and Kuby this morning. Guardian Anglel founder Curtis Sliwa has been jailed 72 times for actions relating to the Guardian Angels. He talked of being in the tombs,and a facility on 161st Street. Said of how they all at Bologna sandwiches he ate in jail. I was wondering if any of you wish to disclose if you have been arrested for knife or gun related incidents or just carrying? What was it like and did the court rule in your favor?

Closest I've ever come is when I got my Buckmaster 184 (a large knife), my mom said to me, in a VERY serious and concerned voice, and with a frightened/angry look on her face "I'm going to take you to see a psychiatrist!"
Now, THAT'S the sort of reaction I like my knives to get out of people!!! (Unless they happen to be LEO's, in which case I would most likely NOT whip out my trusty Buck 184!)

Closest I came was after getting a backseat ride to the jailhouse (my college roommate was bound to spend the night there after a DUI charge), the deputy asked if we had any weapons. I did the usual "No, but I have a pocketknife" song and dance. He took it and put it in his pocket while they processed my buddy. After an hour or so, when they were conviced I was just a harmless drunken college punk, they turned me loose. On the way out of the jail, the deputy handed me my knife and told me to stay out of trouble. Damn I wish he'd told me and my buddy that before Miller Time. 
But to answer your question, no I haven't had any problem with the law regarding knives.

Been arrested a couple of times, but not for knives. Did have to explain them on my person when I was arrested, tho. One cop said "Yea, I like Spyderco's too..but I only carry <i>one!</i>"
Oh well...
