Hi there, i was doing a little Intrnet surfing and I was looking for some information on proffessional knife throwing guides. I came accross this guys video and I even went on Youtube to watch some demonstrations and was emensly impressed. I'm just wondering if any of you guys have used this technique or have bought this guys video. http://www.amazon.com/COMBAT-KNIFE-THROWING-VIDEO-Ralph/dp/B00250MRVI/ref=pd_cp_b_3 here it is. Thanks for any replys' :)

Absolutely! In fact he posts here.. He just posted to one of my
threads recently.. Ralph Thorn definately has it down. His DVD
and book are must haves if you want to learn to throw no spin.
I got into this from watching his videos on youtube.. There are a few
of us no spin throwers out there. There is quite a bit here on the first page
about it in fact. Also check Houzan Suzuki on youtube for his no spin
techniques and instruction, he's really amazing as well...

Thanks man! Oh man I think i'm gonna buy the dvd. And i'll theck out that other guys vids on Youtube. :) thanks again

Paging Ralph in 5... 4... 3... 2...

Ralph is a great guy, not just because of his throwing but because he'll answer any question he can.

Thanks to everyone for the nice comments.

What you are seeing on youtube is probably the self produced video, which we worked hard on and are still proud of, but the Paladin dvd is the one to get for instructional purposes.

Of course the Paladin dvd is what you posted a link to - but most people see samples on youtube of the other video. Just clarifying; sorry for the confusion.

I've had a ton of success with his style. I can stick my 6-ounce throwers from about 12 feet, and I could probably stick them further if I got something heavier. Knife-throwing even works as therapy for my dad's shoulder. :D

This isn't a commercial forum so I won't get too specific with knife recommendations, but I will say that pretty much all that I throw is made by either Bobby Branton or Pat at flyingsteel, both of whom happen to post on this forum sometimes. And I'm not ever going back to throwing the junk you see me throwing on some of my early videos, though I still recommend being able to throw anything...
