SOG Have I been sold a fake Sog Flash II ? [Update : Confirmed genuine older model]

I bought a used Sog Flash II from a knife enthousiast. It's the first time I hold a Sog Flash II, but now that I'm comparing it to pictures of the knife on google, I notice some important differences. I don't know if those differences are just because it's a fake or an older model of the Sog Flash II.

Here's pictures of the knife that has been sold to me :

The Sog logo on the blade is different. The locking nud is different too. The patent mark seems off.

I'm not an expert of Sog though... What's your opinion ?

To my eye, it looks like a genuine older model. I’m not an expert, but I used to have a couple back in the day that looked like yours.

It just looks like an older one.
For whatever reason, SOG will change the way their logo looks on newer/ older models.
Some of their newer models actually spell out "Studies and Observations Group"
I have SEAL Pups from different years and they have slightly different markings and logos despite all being made in Japan and all being genuine SOGs.
That Flash II you scored looks to be in good condition as well. ;)

P.S. I don't understand why some people insist on pronouncing SOG like each letter saying it S-O-G when I've seen podcasts/ interviews of old SOG Operators from Vietnam saying it all one word like "sog" as in soggy socks but just SOG.
 
To give an update, I contacted SOG and they confirmed me that people in this thread where right : it's a genuine older mode of the Sog Flash II.

Yeah, I still need to touch the edge and clean up the blade. It might have some junk in it too. By any chances, do you live in Korea or is it just a pseudo ?

Nope, I'm from the Southern USA, born and raised, live and work ;)
I am half Korean though :D
