I just traded off my small micarta Sebenza for a UNERTL SMF with a modded blade.

But, I am close to buying a wood inlay large Sebenza, nib, etc. Does this count as penance?

What's a UNERTL SMF ?

My experience has taught me: never sell a sebenza, unless it's to buy another sebenza.

like this one?

I especially like the finger groove behind the blade choil. Looks like a comfy user in that regard.

Professor.

if it is barely used and it was a straight blade for blade trade you made out much better than the other guy. if you don't like it you can sell it and buy another small micarta seb and have a couple of bucks left over. or buy a large on this time:p

My bet is that you will like it. I liked my SNG so much that I now have another on the way this week.......:D

They are different beasts

One thing about a Strider is you never have to worry about breaking it. Its a weird feeling knowing you can do what ever you want with your knife and not caring about what might happen......

The poor other guy didnt get ANYTHING!

Not that I know anything about this deal or any other thing on the internet!

I got no problems with the deal. Shipped it out yesterday, wouldn't call it kicking it out to the curb, but hey.

I'm happy, the other guy seems happy, Ron seems to be in a pissy mood lately ;) :D (he has helped out both of us in the transaction, and I am thankful to him, seriously). Really, I'm just racking my brain on how I can get some money together for a large desert ironwood Seb.

hi all, i stood up in my seat when i saw that UNERTL SMF. i have one also # 0008. i got it at a gun show here in south florida. i looked up UNERTL and found they make firearm optics.does anyone know how many of these knives are around. sorry if this is disrespectfull on a CRK forum.

If you ever have to tighten a Strider's pivot pin, you're in for a real experience. Helped...or attempted to help...a soldier here in Iraq tighten his. Now that's an interesting proposition and experience!

Best of luck with the SnF! They are very nice but take up a lot more room in your pocket than a small Sebenza. Strider's QC isn't up to Mr. Reeve's standards. I am a Strider fan but don't expect perfection form Striders.

BTW, I don't think Strider expects you to really abuse the knife. Like chopping cinder blocks or putting the blade in a vice and a pipe on the handle, and seeing how far the blade can bend before it breaks. But, hard use, yes.

But, I could be wrong. You can always call Strider and ask them.

I think they put something like Loc Tite on those threads. Don't you have to heat the part to get it to move?

Yes, Rich, you do. It's a complicated process to just tighten the pivot point...too much so for a knife meant to see combat usage, in my opinion. They are very good knives, but I wouldn;t get one for this reason.

You are exactly right. Even out of the little baggie the knife comes in, you can expect 'strider marks' like small scratches on the blade, imperfections on the G10 or Gunner Grips, or the Lettering doesn't line up 100%. But what the hell, I love em all regardless. I have never owned a MSC or a DDC (Customs from Mick Strider or Duane Dwyer) but I heard on another forum that those knives also arrive with imperfections too. Regardless, I am still looking for a SMF Custom for either MS or DD.

Before you start calling foul on a CRK forum, I own half a dozen CRK now and I am waiting on a 2007 Small Seb with Damascus and Mammoth Ivory Bark. It will be my pride and joy!

My EDC = 2006 Limited Edition Maka Wood Small Sebenza. Its da best!
