What a lucky guy I am? I`ve been a bit down this week because Connie lost her new job. Then I started thinking about the good things, like how lucky I am to be able to get up each morning and go to work doing something I love, having a wife who allows me to do this type of work (I even caught her telling one of her old coworkers on the phone about my job, she actually sounded proud of me!), having loyal friends and customers here on the forums, and having a wonderfull, loving, family. I guess I really am a lucky man!

I agree John you a a very lucky man, to have found a job you really love doing, and to have a wonderful wife and family, and a wife that lets you do what you love. Not many people can say that. Everything else is just a bonus. Sorry to hear about Connie's job, I am sure things will work out. Have a great day.

I am very sad to hear that Connie lost her new job at WalMart - that is a surprise!

You are lucky in many many ways, not the least of which is your ability to understand where you are lucky in life.

I have heard it said that if we all were to stand around a large table and throw our problems out on the table - once we see everyone else's problems we would be happy to get our problems back.

Good luck to Connie - I know she is a hard worker and would be a good catch for any employer!

Sounds like your head is in the right place. Good luck to your wife in finding something else.

Sorry to hear about Connie's job, but I'm sure something better will be along shortly. And yes, you are a lucky guy! :)

Way ta look o the bright side! sometimes it can be tough but I'm sure glad your able to see the good things in between, hope the job works out soon.

Sounds like a very good attitude.
Sorry to hear about Connie's job, best of luck to you both in making things work while going through this setback.

Yes you are a lucky man. Sorry to hear about Connie's job but generally when one door closes there will be another opened.
I keep you guys in my prayers.

Things will bounce back. Good things happen to good people. You are really good people.

That's great that you get to do what you love.

That sucks that she lost her job John. I have some bad news too, some stuff was stolen out of my car and I can't drive it anymore(my fault which sucks). I guess I will save $$ in the meantime with no insurance or gas $$. I didn't forget the pictures for the dashi, work just takes up too much time lately and I haven't finished something that I am working on with it.

Hey John, I know I feel lucky to know you! When I first contacted you a few years back, I just wanted a decent knife, I had no idea I would get an outstanding friend in the process! Good People have a lot of good luck around them, so i know things will bounce back in the right direction for Connie! Hnag in there buddy, and thanks for allowing me and everyone else to know you

Despite the small setbacks, when you look at the big picture, you surely are a lucky man.
Something will turn up for Connie I'm sure, they always do for good people.

Sorry about Connie's job, on tke plus side you can spend more time together until a new opportunity comes along. You are indeed a lucky man and so are we by having met you and being able to have the knives you make.
