Have I fallen through the cracks?

I hope that this is not the case. I have been looking forward to getting my Killer B 4" for awhile now. After all the good thing I have heard about Busse knives I placed my order back in August when it was stated that they would be going out of production.

I placed it on August 20, 2002. I mentioned that I would prefer an all black handle if it were possible but I noted that I would take the standard black yellow I that was all I could get.

I checked on shipping status on September 16, 2002 and was sent an email saying that they could get it out to me in about a week.

A week later still no knife.

The first week of October I sent an email and received a reply on the 7th indicating that it would be shipped out on tuesday (The 8th).

It is now the 16th and still no KB. I realized that the wait may be as long as 6 weeks. I had alot of enthusiasm towards buying a Busse but I find that diminishing every time I hear it will be shipped out now or shipped out then and still no knife.

I have waited a long time for custom 1911's and some class 3 NFA weapons but for a Semi-Production knife I find this wait excessive.

I guess I would just like better communication on "When" it will really be done or shipped.

hang in there, the killer bee is a great little knife. I carry mine in a Dave Brown kydex sheath in a horizontal cross draw position and it is a terrific set-up.

You might want to try calling the shop. I've been treated very well every time I call.

Actually, I've had the opposite problem. I've placed orders, planning on paying for it next month and always got my knife in a couple of weeks (and had to pay for it ;) )I even ordered a variant that I was SURE I'd have plenty of time to save up for and in something like 4 weeks (or less) the piece was at my house!

I agree give the shop a call 419-923-6471 they'll get it straightened out.

BTW, it is well worth the wait ;):D:D

Hi KaiserSosa-

"Your knife should be arriving in about two weeks."
Repeat this phrase as often as necessary until the actual arrival of your knife in question. :p

Sorry I couldn't be more "definitive" in my response, but I have to think that the strong possibility of hostilities in Iraq has Team Busse working their fingers to the bone for our folks in uniform.

Don't sweat it KS, just touch base with the shop again in a few days. I'm sure it'll be in your hands in no time:cool:

I ordered a Killer B, w/sheath, in March, and haven't seen hide nor hair of it. :-(
 
I have also not received mine. Now, I don't mind, I know it takes time to create a work of art. My problem is this. If it hasn't shipped tell me it hasn't, or wont' for x amount of time. I have called three times, and everytime, week (s) apart, the person on the phone has told me "it's going out today" or "it's going out first thing tomorrow"....That's whats frustrating, thinking that you'll have this incredible knife......

Anyway, it will all be worth when I get it.....
 
And, as soon as I open my big fat mouth, My knives arrive - 5 minutes ago. They took along time, but like I said in the above post, it was worth it! I guess you could look at it this way: You can go buy a regular knife any time at walmart, but to get something truly exceptional, you wait. All good things come in due time......:footinmou
 
I was told two months ago, and still no signs. Called once, emailed twice... At least I have a Howling Rat to keep me busy. :D

Thank you for the reply. I was pleasantly surprised to receive my KB today (10-18-02) when I got home after a long day of busting bad people and spending way too much time typing reports in the office.
I do have to say it was worth the wait and I am very impressed with the quality overall. The size is perfect for concealed carry since I will be carrying this as back up to my 1911 (and my micro compact 1911 BUG) in my current undercover assignment.

I guess my only real gripe was knowing when it really was going to be shipped. Like I said before I have no problem waiting but just like to be informed if it will take a little longer than expected.

Keep up the good work as I have this feeling that you can't just own one Busse. Now if I could just find one of those Payload knives...
