Have Saiga Shotguns been made illegal to import? Heard something about a new rule... true?

Well there is talks on if they are or are not going to be banned from import. But right now I'm just looking at it like the whole "these are gonna be banned soon, so you gotta buy them now (at 200% markup natually.).

The AFT made a big deal about the 'Street Sweeper' shotguns a few years back and wound up letting owners get a special registration for payment of a one-time $5.00 fee. Now there's Saiga and they come with only five round mags and a wooden plug in those. However, Promag and probably others are selling 10 round mags and a 12 round drum mag which turns the Saiga into a very capable 'street sweeper.' I don't know but have recently read Kel Tec is also making/selling a high cap shotgun...?

I've fired my 12 ga Saiga a number of times with the ten round mags as fast as I can trigger it. Wow! I would hate to be on the other end of what it will put out. It's shocking to see the impact area when firing nr 4 or 00 buckshot and never a malfunction. IMO, a sub machine gun has little advantage over such a shotgun especially with 27 pellets of nr 4 buck (22 cal) going out with each shot at better than 1350 fps.

The Kel-Tec isn't available yet, but preorders have been going up (from $615 at the start to about $700 at this point). Reviews are good for the unit, which is a 14+1 bullpup type...features twin ammo tubes which can be switched through a toggle (one tube could be 00, the other bird shot or slugs, etc.). Looks like they'll be around $820-850 when they come out later this year.

The Kel-Tec's magazine isn't detachable, as I understand it, exempting it from the proposed action.
