Hi, To all my friends and fellow Emerson forum members!
smile.gif

I wish to say a BIG HI & a BIG THANK YOU to Derek, John Hollister, Tamishigiri, Leo,Sniper308,edmoses,jbravo, arkhamdrifter who have been great in the forums and I must say FINALLY, I have taken the plunge to join you GUYS! What a relief!
The recent threads on SOCFKs has been very interesting and I wish to let you know that I did manage to get a hold of the Prototype SOCFK satin tanto with part serration # 4, as well, the matching set #4 black bladed & partial serrated tanto and spearpoint from the first production. Also, another satin Prototype SOCFK # 6. In the previous threads by jzbig2I, there is a link posted by John Hollister mentioning the #4 above, dating back to a posting by Derek around May. I have another eight or so of the SOCFKs and still and growing.
Hope someday to scan and post pictures once I get my scanner working.
Oh yes, I also managed to get a custom Emerson recently, one of those from NY Show. Maybe, should save it for later.

Welcome to the forums! This is a great place, isn't it? Although in really can have a negative effect on the bank account.

How about those SOCFK's? What do you think of them? Do you use them? Are they you daily carry knife? Need a picture of that custom, tho.

Daer Friends,
Thank you all for such a warm welcome.
John,.
It was painless...and glad I am OUT.YEAH!
Snipere308,
I am so delighted that you have such great confidence in me. Thanks for the trust.
If I go onto the subject of about other customs, I may wander away from the subject of SOCFKs so, I shall save it for a later thread and perhaps a picture as well.
Tamishigiri,
Yes, I was thinking of the same, but somehow it is still nice talk to people if you cant make it to shows..then again there is the forum. Thanks friend
Brigadier,
I carry my SOCFK only when I go out on camps as a back up.
It is a #65 black spear point from first production, part serrated for utility work.It is a well built folder and small enough to carry or conceal PLUS it has a wave. Trouble is I have so many SOCFKs and Commanders more than number of days in a week>>> but not a problem in case someone says something

.
Yes, its a GREAT PLACE to be .
Warmest wishes
Oliver

CHINDIT,

Cool. Emersons are where its at. The SOCFK is one of my favorite knives bar none. Congrats on the aquisition and welcome.
Now all you need is one of the forthcoming Usual Suspect T-Shirts (sure to be a great conversation piece at any PC function)!

I just have one question about the SOFCKS.. I want one but I think it was Derek who said that EO is only selling them to active military with very few exceptions. How do I become one of these exceptions?

Oliver, Welcome to our Forum. It's expensive, fun and 24/7. You seem to have the focus that makes for a great suspect. Glad to have you here.

Der Folks,
Thanks again.
Arkhamdrifter,
Thanks and I wish to have two T-Shirts in Medium size.Is this the first announcement for latest production of Usual Suspect Ts? I missed the chance the last time. I am glad you brought it up.
Jackstraw,
I couldnt agree with you more.
For those who want to buy SOCFKs, Steve has been very kind in the past and I would not expect any different in future should you care to call him and put in a request. May have to wait for the plain un-numbered ones to come out though. Best to give Steve a call.
Oh, I forgot to mention I also have a SOCFK in green numbered Tanto.
All the best.
Oliver

I think you have all the production varients and more! The SOCFK Spear Point is one of the best Emerson production designs. As of last week I am carrying the SARK which has the "Wave" and is also an excellent letter opener! I wouls also like to obtain one of the "Usual Suspects" shirt in large. Right now I am trying to decide if I want the I&I Emerson which looks like an SOCFK blade without the "Wave".

Welcome aboard Oliver

Glad to see you finally posting. Now you can share with us the stories of your addiction

Hey guys, Oliver is a great guy and a true collector. He's the SOCFK Master. Now if we could just get him to the Blade Show.
biggrin.gif

Speaking of SOCFKs, how about we track down a rumor. Someone mentioned that there may have been Damascus SOCFKs that the New York show. Can anyone confirm or deny this? I think Oliver would be interested in knowing.

As to the "Only Military Sales" thing. That was the original plan, but Steve has opened it up to public sales. Give him a call and get one.

John
