Howdy all! The title says it all. I am about to be the proud owner of some Delbert Ealy "Vines" pattern Damascus, and am looking for someone to do something with it. I don't have the time or talent to put this stuff to good effect, so I'm interested in what others may be able to do with it? I'm getting about a 5" bar, so any ideas? thought about a small hidden tang knife? Maybe 2"-2.5" in the blade? Anyone got a thought on this? I bought the bar, by the by, because I've seen knives made from this pattern that were absolutely stunning, and looked like fire going across the blade. Real sweet stuff!

Sincerely,
Anthony

Thanks! I wasn't really sure where to put it, but Thanks for setting it straight!

Sincerely,
Anthony

Hi Jon. Nice avatar...wonder where you got it....;) :p

You could use the whole bar as a blade if you found somebody to weld a tang to it. Otherwise, why not go for a full tang? The nice thing is that you can etch the tang and see the pattern travel down the spine and all the way around.

Anthony;
Hi this is Paul. Yes I would be interested in seeing what you have in mind. If you click on my name, you will find my e-mail info.

Thanks, Paul
