Have Spyderco Knives Ever Been Sealed In Plastic??

I've had close to fifty PM2's, and not one of them was ever sealed in plastic like this....

I have received Spydies like that before. I'm not a hundred percent sure, but maybe the dealer does it as an extra barrier of protection, in case your package gets rained on.
 
I think it's called "clam shell" packaging. Spyderco has used it for a number of knives over the years, usually in the larger retailers.

Did you not see the OP's picture? It definitely wasn't clam shell packaging. He had a standard Spyderco box, but it was shrink-wrapped.

Well my firewall at work must have blocked the picture, 'cause I see it now but as usual was clueless at work :)
