Have there ever been imitation Busse's?

United makes one. Not really an imitation as much as a bad joke. I think Mtech made a blatant copy of the Meaner but not sure if they still do. I think someone bought one, snapped it in half and posted pics, but not sure if I'm remembering correctly.

^ nice one. Close!

Never seen those mojo copies before but thats about as blatant as it gets....even worse than united.

I see alot of copies of the Talon hole, even other makers use it......and I have seen other makers make copies here on these forums.

I have imitated some particular shapes but there are always ways to make things your own without being so blatant as stealing a total design. If I had no morals I could could make 1/300 SHBM copies out of A-2, they are a basic blade design and shape but its the simplistic form, function, and HISTORY of this awesome blade, a new plan and some kick ass virgin steel, that made the man a Icon in the Industry. That cannot be copied! Respect!

John Greco is a fairly well known maker and he has a lot of designs that remind me of Busse's older A2 designs but I don't know if they're truely rip-offs or not. Even the ones w/o the Talon Hole have the feel of older Busses IMO. To be fair to other makers, Jerry Busse has to be one of the most influential makers of the last 15-20 years. As the old cliche goes; "Imitation is the Finest Form of Flattery."

I'd love to see Noss smash a few of those fake Mojos.

(For the sake of science. Obviously.)

You are remembering correctly. I remember that, too.
