Just got back from a gun show and came across a serialized Shabaria 50/50(#370) that was LNIB, and the guy wanted $135 for it!! Now, I would understand if this was some kind of limited edition but, although serialized, it was USED . Yet, he was asking too much for it, IMHO.

What are your thoughts on this Spydie?

Also, it seemed to have G10 scales instead of the Micarta. Would anyone happen to know if the Shabaria ever came out with G10 on the handle?

Ok, I´ll let you have it for 125$. Can´t go any lower than that!!
It is a #257, and the Scales is real Micarta!! :D

I just got a Shabaria in a trade. It's a wild looking knife, but I find it comfortable to hold. It's very exotic looking and may not appeal to everyone, but it is a very interesting design and the recurved edge cuts with a vengeance. I think the late Eduard Bradichansky did a nice job with the design. My model has a Micarta scales over steel liners, but I've never heard of them having G-10 scales. You can get a serrated version from Knifecenter.com for less, but the Shabaria has been discontinued, so if you really like the design, act quick before they become harder to find.

I was pretty sure that the Shabaria never came out with G10 on the handles. Well, please excuse the post....it's just amusing how some people like to blind the unfamiliar consumer sometimes with ridiculous prices on USED knives. ;)
