There's this Japanese guy on YouTube who has the coolest accent, and it's just hilarious. I am honestly not trying to be rude, because I really, really like the guy, and he has a lot of knowledge about steels and knives. But, I do think his accent is really funny to listen to, in addition to his knowledge. Have any of you guys heard of him?

Again, I'm not trying to offend, because I genuinely enjoy the guy, and think he's cool.

Oh I get that. I've got no problem with that...I'm just wondering why this was randomly posted here. Can't wait for the lock on this one.

You sound pretty ignorant and/or immature. Maybe you should just stick to saying that you enjoy his reviews and leave his "funny" accent out of it. Have you not heard a Japanese accent before?

Anyway...I also enjoy his reviews.

EDIT: I realize you say that you are not trying to be offensive, but the way you phrase things kinda makes it sound like you laughing at him (sorta like he's a spectacle). Maybe just choose your words a little more carefully so you come off the way you intend to and you won't have to state that you don't mean any harm. Just a thought...not trying to tell you what to do

I watched his channel everyday. I don't see anything wrong with his accent. He gets his message across. His reviews are informative and at the same time fun to watch. As a matter of fact - I got to know him personally and he is a great guy.

I like that old Japanese guy, his vids are funny and informative. He has been around the block with knives of all kinds especially knives in the 4" to 6" inch range.

Virtuovice is exceptionally informative and interesting. His mannerisms and accent make his reviews unique; he is quite a character. It is impressive how practical and empirical his statements are in a foreign language. I love watching him strop.

I love how he starts his videos with "Hi, knife people".

Anyways, I learned some sharpening tips from his videos, so I'm really glad he does them. I visited Japan when I was 16 and got used to that accent, on the flip-side I probably sounded ridiculous when I tried speaking Japanese. :D

Sounds like my brother in law. His English is much better than my Japanese. Thanks for finding him, maybe I can use his video reviews to warm my spouse to knives.

He's my favorite knife reviewer. Just because he is very straight forward with his reviews. He is not afraid to say if a knife is bad or good.

One of, if not the best on youtube IMO.

i also enjoy his reviews - especially his eye for details and pragmatic viewpoint. he leaves the impression that he has quite a bit of experience with those knifes - a welcome change to those "look-i-got-this-yesterday-and-never-used-it-showoff-reviews"...

I like this guy's reviews. He's a hoot to listen to and seems to tell it like it is. Still a little long to me though. I'm a 3 minute man in more ways than one.

I have watched a ton of his videos. “Hi….knife people.”

He has some really cool blades but his big use of them and emphasis is deer hunting knives. I don’t remember the numbers exactly but he said there are only a few hundred hunters on his island of Japan and there are deer in the hundreds of thousands with the population growing exponentially every year. The reason being that it is so hard to own a gun in Japan that most people don’t bother. Yearly interviews with a psychiatrist and the police, compliance inspections in your home to be certain your gun is being stored legally, etc. They can shoot unlimited numbers of deer so they cut out the backstraps and the hams and lave the rest. Just too many of them.

His vids are pretty cool and if nothing else, his voice is relaxing. :D

I believe he mentioned there are approx 5,000 hunters in the island of Hokkaido but roughly only half are active hunters and not as many hunters bag as much deers as he has. During hunting season (November to March) he works 2 days and hunt for 5 days in a week. I won't mind to live a life like that. He is sort of like the Japanese version of Les Stroud with a twist of hunting aspect to it. His passion for deer hunting/knives starts with getting a knife, goes out hunting, do field test then knife review, knife sharpening to cooking the venison and making deer trophies out of his kills. He has good reviews on RC3 and Izula.

I have tried a few of his recipes, pretty good and very healthy. His sense of humor is hilarious.

Jeff, check out his RC-5 saber grind thread, he mentions fighting a bear with his RC-5. I'd link it, but YT is blocked here at werk...

No way that guy is giving a decent review. He doesn't say dude or tactical anywhere near enough, I have searched the exchange and eBay and no where do I see a knife he has painted black signed and marked the price way up on. :D.

Seriously the guy gives a good if long winded review and he speaks English better than I do and English is my first language.
