Well, today was the day for me. I brought home a William Henry Rainbow Spearpoint. My wife's comment was: Wow, that's beautiful.

First time that's ever happened!

How about you? What was the knife?

Yah, my wife took my small CRKT plain Point-Guard as soon as I got it (as part of a trade).

Not yet.......

But, I put a new "background" on the computer several days ago. Last night she was walking by the computer and her comment was, <font size="4" color="#FF0000">"Now that's pretty! What kind of knife is that?"</font> I almost fell in the floor!

The picture is a blown up negative of a Darrel Ralph Apogee...........(in the pic; blade looks black and the scales are lighter than normal).

Will have to check with DDR to see if he can make one like the negative.......

The one she liked was the one I couldn't afford--a Rob Simonich knife on Kevin Pensinger's table at the Edgerton Show.

I'm afraid my other knives haven't elicited that much awe and wonder from my wife . . .

NEVER! (Which I am sure plays a small part in my knife OBSESSION)

However, she did laugh at this topic!

William Henry CF Lancet -- thinks it's pretty (and points out that she has earrings that would go perfectly with it

).

She also made complimentary noises when I showed her an Apogee on the web; hasn't really commented since it showed up in person, so I'm not sure how much she meant it.

A while back I got a "Wow" from the wife when I showed her a custom Buck 110 with silver bolsters, multi-colored mother-of-pearl scales, and a damascus blade with my initials. Takes a nice knife to get any reaction from Deb....

My wife thinks the prettist knife I have is a damascus, bone handled stilleto but she has taken possession of a boker speedlock II with red bone inserts. So I would say she really likes it.
Kwaiken56, how about posting a picture of that buck, it sounds really neat.

Just got her a BM850 Mel pardue with rainbow anodized bolsters and ivory micarta which she really likes. Which was convenient and diverted her attention away as I hid away the 3 MicroTechs (SOCOM, SOCOM Elite, LCC) I also bought this month....

Small KFF. Couldn't keep her hands off it, so I bought her one. She really liked the 940 also, so I got her one when I got mine. And she's had her eye on my mini-AFCK for a while, would it be bad for me to buy another in M2 and give her mine? And she just loves the damascus bali I bought her. Not quite a knife knut, but she usually carries at least one.

I picked up one tho other day and told her it would be a good one to keep in her purse. She said "what do I need a knife for?" I said don't you get tired of opening packages with your teeth and fingernails? She said " it has worked fine for 23 years".....well more for me I guess!

My wife took one look at my Lynn Griffith custom Tracker as I pulled it from the shipping box and fell in love with it. It now follows her whenever she's outside hiking, working, etc. Looks like I'm gonna have to order me another one.

She also liked my BM Mini-AFCK in M2 steel enough that I got her one last year.

I'm lucky she likes knives... and even luckier that she buys them for me from time to time. This year for my birthday she caught me off guard with a CRK Umfaan!

I just bought a Microtech LCC, so I knew I had to make peace with the wife. She admired my Kershaw Boa with the 'paint splattered' handle. She's hard on edges, but the S60V blade really has edge retention. I gave her the knife, and she overlooked my credit card bill...--OKG

I bought a Benchmade DarkStar last year and when it showed up, she saw it and it disappeared into her purse, where it still has residence. I didn't even get to carry it to town once.

No. She thinks I'm nuts. She's probably right.
