Have you ever lost a knife?

I'm sick to my stomach.

Last night while getting in the truck I notice my knife is missing. I trace my path back to the office . It's about 500 yards just to the building. It's dark and all I have is the light on my cell phone. Nothing.......

This morning I call the lost+found folks and nothing has been turned in to them. They posted a message on the site lost+found web page.

Frickers. I know someone has it.

I feel your pain Jeff. Among others I lost a Sebenza 21, which pissed me off something fierce. Hang in there. I sure hope Swo doesn't read this post.

I have lost several. the most painful was a bob loveless drop point hunter. I was riding a trail bike hunting in the mountains.
I found the sheath empty on my belt. I spent 2 days searching for it.

I had the SAK (Huntsman) I carried for the entire time I was in the military post boot camp confiscated while in Paris. I forgot it was in my bag when we went to the Eiffel Tower. I just ordered a replacement of sorts (Red Alox Cadet from DLT) this morning; nearly five months later.

The only other “knife” I “lost” (LM Micra) found its way back.... right after I bought a replacement.

To put salt in a wound...... Whoever finds lost knives probably don't realise what they found!

In the case I fear they do. This wasn't lost out in a public space. It's in an area that requires badged access. I'm so pissed knowing it's someone in my building.

NOLA NOLA sorry brother. That sucks man and to know you walk the halls with someone who probably has it  I had recently lost a Hogue Auto. Brand new, never used and lost it!! I drove myself crazy looking for it. I knew it had to be around somewhere. Spent hours searching hi and low, in drawers, boxes, closets, cases, safes, etc. etc. I was so pissed I misplaced it. I keep pretty good tabs on my ever growing inventory and to lose a knife, well I was beside myself. two days ago was searching through my ballcap hat shelfs and somehow, that SOB was between two hats. WTF!!! can't tell you how it got there but it was there. Happy ending for me.
Hope that missing knife comes up somehow/somewhere

In my experience, the harder you look the more determined the knife is to stay lost. Seems like when I stop looking that's when they turn up.
P.S. The wife is better at finding stuff I lose than I am.

I lost an Arkansas Dozier Skinner in one of my many house moves. That one hurt. To make matters worse I still have the Kydex sheath.

Been there done that. It hurts, not only the wallet but the pride as well. I lost a copper Hinerer Investigator pen and Carbon Fiber Sebenza 21 at the same time. That was 4 years ago, I'm still sore over it.
