Have you ever made something for someone else and wished you could keep it?

I just made a BK16 sheath to trade a friend for a Maxpedition pouch I need/want. I had a sheath a friend gave me because he no longer had the knife to fit in it (pretty sure it was made by Gavko). I heated the sheath and re-formed it to fit my 16. It fit quite nicely but had the tiniest hint of a rattle. I made the leather backing for it, polisted it and put a retention strap in. Mounting the leather backing made the tiny rattle go away. If I wasnt a man of my word and didnt like the guy I was trading with, I would consider keeping this for myself:D

Heres a quick video of how it turned out

Get you some kydex and make one happen for yourself OFM. Kydex is a lot of fun to tinker with. Looks good, and I'm betting wolfman will like it as much as you do. ;)

I have kydex and have done some work (for other people)--I plan on making myself some new pants for a few of my Beckers--The only problem is that when I make something for myself, I dont have near the patience I have when I make something for someone else---:D
