Have you ever thought a Police Model was small?

I just finalized my EDC rotation (for now anyway, lol, my co-worker says that I don't own knives, I just rent them), and I realized that my Police Model looks like a Delica. I hope I'm not trying to make up for some other lack of equipment :D

Klesk,

Wow, you're right! I didn't think that was possible...a small looking Police model :p Great picture of some fine, fine knives. I enjoyed your friends comment about "renting" your knives.

Best wishes, Jeff/1911.

Great picture, as usual, Ross. :D

You know me - big is better and bigger is best.....but that, of course, leaves us with one rather large problem.

When we need something small and slim, where do we go?

I'm glad you've kept the Police in your EDC drawer. :)

I have only recently become familiar with Benchmades new 630. Nice big folder. Klesk, I am very interested in the camo looking finish on your 630. Is that the way they come from Benchmade? The images I have seen before all look like black anodized titanium. Yours looks much nicer. Maybe yours is a custom Neil Blackwood, and I am simply too uninformed to know the difference.

I greatly prefer clipped folders with blades longer than 4"

Here are a couple of my favorites...

Custom Etzler - 4 5/8"

Klesk, I think the Lone Wolf is the most under rated tactical on the market right now, good choice!

I agree. I don't understand why the Lone Wolf Harsey isnt talked about more.

Ignorant question: please explain the torching process.

Definitely not an ignorant question, as I don't completely understand it myself. As far as I know, titanium changes color when heated, the color depends on how hot the Ti gets. So to get the tiger striped finish on my knife takes some practice and a steady hand. I'm sure others here know more about this.

My knife had the handle bead blasted and flame treated as described above. The work was done by a member of the "other" forum, I did not commission the work, it was already done when I acquired the knife. If you check around, I'm sure you can find someone to do similar work on your 630, or any Ti handled knife, for that matter. On one of the sections on the "other" forum, some customizers have been showing their flamed Sebenzas, that looks pretty cool too.
