Have you ever tried to drill a frame rail with a hand drill? Does not happen.

Hillbilly Blood...when they drilled that frame for the trailer.
That is harden steel. It looks like he just popped that hole in there in a few minutes.
That would have taken him 6 hrs at least for one hole.
That absolutly did not happen the way they filmed it.
Then again if you have no job you might have that kind of time. But i would bet they used another tool.

Nobody uses hardened steel for frame rails. It's ordinary mild steel, not that hard to drill by hand. No doubt they used a camera cut and didn't keep the camera on him the whole time he was drilling, but it would only take a few minutes.

I've drilled some holes in frame rails, back in my teenage years. I didn't have a hard time. Good thing I didn't know it was supposed to be so difficult, I probably would've never tried it.

Interesting first post.

The key is too take the drill out of reverse, and into forward, it goes through much faster.

I've drilled lot's of holes in big truck frames for mounting pumps and blowers, not hard to do at all.
