I use to collect Spyderco knives and was wondering what others have found lately that may be hard to get. Some of the prizes I found are a Probe, Pre Diver, 2 P.I.G. Polices (left and right hand), Black Ti Military, Black Ti Worker, Sterile blade Military, Carbon Fiber Military Prototype, Pearl handle Spyderkey, SS handle Spyderkey, 4 different Spydie Tieclips (stag, pearl, ss handle w/spydie logo), Evolution set, Orange Snapit w/EMT blade, 18 different Q's, Plain edge Civie, Plainedge Mariner (first model), Original Worker, Almite Worker, Black Ti Endura, Black Ti Delica, Black Magnum Research Police, original Standard, Knock off Standard (look in the Spyderco Story book to understand this one), ETC........
I had over 150 Spydercos at one time. I have since sold most of them. I kept some of the earlier stuff

I just ran across a mini probe (been looking for one for years) and I snatched it right up. It has the 2 wrist lanyards with it. I also have a lead on a Spyderco Cut Kit. I hope to get that as well.

Mike,

Most recent "find" is a Lefthand "Economy" model also called the knockoff and early standard.

Does my fully serrated Wayne Goddard C16S count? I heard that very few of those were made.

Hey Recoil, thats just like mine but mine is right handed. They use to sell those for $25 new.

General, yes, your Goddard is also a goodie. I had one a long time ago like that. I like the serrated blades. I think Wayne Goddard had some on his table at the 2000 Blade Show.

Any others out there?

I found an old style Terzuola Jr. with a swedge ground in the top first 1/2 inch of the blade. The blade has no stamping on it. I've had quite a few of these and never seen one like this. I also found a Native hat pin and one of those little gold bugs, that I've only seen on the receptionist at the factory. These three treasures were found today! Gotta love days like today.

Yeah Yeah Yeah Ron, I know, you have some cool stuff. I like that Military. You should sell it to me

I sure wish Spyderco would make some more of them.

Treb, I have a bunch of Spydie pins and stuff. I would love to have the gold Spydie pin. I saw one on Ebay. Maybe Sal would consider making a sprint run of those for us Spydernuts

Cool, my C16S has never been used and is in its Spydie pouch as well! What a cool find in the UK. The Micarta has a few slight marks on it, from being in the shop... DOH!

It has the sharpest serrated edge I have EVER seen.

How does an in-the-white aluminum body Civilian sound? Supposedly a handfull were made for "testing" and I happened to come across this one.

I also have 2 Ti body Police. One from each batch made.

Take care,

Mike

Michael,
What do you mean by you "used" to collect Spydercos? Looks like you have an enviable collection now! I had quite a collection myself up until about a year ago and sold them off. Here's a tip to you guys that want to start a Spyder collection. Snap up these Wegner Jr.'s, Toads, large and small Micarta handled Dyads, etc. These will be very desirable in just a few years. Personally, I love the mini Spyders like the tie clips, Police necklace and especially the old Spyderkeys. I wish Sal would make more models of minis. Hey, Michael, I have an extra NIB pearl handled Spyderkey. I'm looking for a stag handled one or?

Ron,
You REALLY pushed my buttons with that red Micarta handled Military. The Military is my all time favorite Spyder folder, (with the large Dyad being second). I don't know why Spyderco and other manufacturers don't make more "loud" colored handles. I really like it when I put a knife down while I'm using it and a quick look and the red, orange, or yellow handle shouts "Here I am!"

Mike,

I recently snatched this up when I came across it unexpectedly, I thought that with the Worker being discontinued it was a good time to pick up the numbered Evolution Edition.

The worker on the left has a Zawada damascus blade with a kraton inlayed handle and on the right is a 2 screw plain edge worker.
It's hard to see the detail thru the acrylic display cylinder.

Its an Emerson thing. You wouldn't understand.

I found recently a Tuff plain Civilian and a (never seen before)SS plain Standard, I think both from 1994. Please let me know: are they rare?
More, I bought another plain SS Worker, I think I'll have it engraved.
