Have you noticed ammo is hard to find?

I haven't been to the range in a while so I went to Bass Pro to buy some 9mm ammo. They had about 10 50 round (FMJ) boxes and that was IT. None of the other stuff was in... no JHP, nothing. Crazy! I went to Dick's sporting goods and it was about the same, although I did manage to walk out with a box of hollow points, thank goodness. I asked the guy @ Bass Pro what was up and he said everyone was paranoid that the Messiah is going to tax ammo so heavily that it'll cost $1 per round to fire 9mm. I'll have to try Wal-Mart tomorrow, but I can't even find cheap 9mm ammo for the range!

Ohhh yeah. Walmart is particularly bad. Mine's been out of .45 ACP for weeks now, and I got the last two boxes of 9mm Winchester white box. Ammo has great promise as a line of attack by those who oppose legal guns, the Second Amendment makes no specific mention of a right to it!

I only own a 12 ga but my friends have been stocking up too. I can only guess the number of CCW applications have gone thru the roof too.

Everyone I know is stocking up too. I only own a 12 ga for SD and I have enough. I can only guess the sales of rifles and handguns and CCW permits have intensified too over the last few months.

It's not just ammo.
AR and Glock magazines are very hard to find and prices went way up.
AK,FAL,M1A,AR15 rifles all hard to find and way up in price.
There's been a huge run on safes as well.
People don't trust this new regime and have good reason to be worried.

try to find 7.62x39, even online:eek:

it's bad i tell ya!! and the shortages have driven up the price like crazy:grumpy:

Plenty of Russian 7.62X39 online...just isn't real cheap at 289.00 for 1000 rounds shipped. I saw this coming last year and started back then...if you waited till now you probably waited too long.

Try ammoman.com, ammunitiontogo.com, aimsurplus.com, jgsales.com, all of these have 9mm for about 90.00 a 1/2 case for Russian and 290.00 for a case of 1000 in JHP

Step-son & I have a table at the Volusia county gun & knife show January31st & 1st. February. [ Daytona, DeLand, New Smyrna Beach ]

He has a radical, ingenious police & SD baton to sell & I plan on selling a few knives militaria & hope to pick up a few handguns.

Since we have to be in place 2 hours before opening I hope to get a chance to get the pick-of the -litter & possibly resell a few myself.

I've been warned that the Feds are going to be there recording license tags. Big bro is wasting no time,is he ?

My son was at the "Shot Show " or some related name in Orlando last week & the ammo folks said they were scrambling to fill back-orders. One firm added an unheard-of third shift .

Uncle Alan :confused::)

It's almost impossible to find ammo here, and any handgun ammo is even harder yet. Denver has forced anybody who sells handguns or handgun ammo out of business, so it's a 15-mile drive to the burbs for everything.

Good reason to load your own, I guess (which I do). If you haven't started yet, you might want to think about it. Yes, it's a large up-front investment, but it pays for itself in no time.

I have never been able to find a local dealer that can compete price wise on cases versus my online ammo guys so I haven't really looked locally other than noticing in store stocks on all gun and gun related items is low. I can't remember the last time I bought a box of any ammo other than Corbon and no one carries it locally anyways. I haven't really had problems finding any ammo online, prices do keep increasing but that is why we laid in a stock last year...Dad and I saw this storm coming last summer.

If you look at the companies I listed above you can find just about anything you want, it is just going to cost a little more than it did last year.

Its hard to find because I'm buyin all of it I can get my hands on :D
Just came back from pickin up some more 45 ammo. 230 gr ball and HydraShoks.

I know when I renewed my CC Permit the first part of this month, they were booked out over a month.. I asked why such a long wait?
Lady said everyone is panicking because of the election, and probably 95 percent of them were new permits, not renewals.

Show about 12 miles West of Daytona was the busiest I've ever seen. Ammo was plentiful & prices remain at old level. A major ammo dealer said it was a panic surge that died very quickly.

Guys next to my table sold around 40+ long guns they had bought from an estate collection. I bought 2 Llamas, one .32 & one .380 . One came with holster & an extra magazine .Found another .32 H&R and a Bernadini [sp ?] 380 ,all for $ 720 which I consider a remarkable deal.

I sold mr .32 S&W civil war pistol for $850 and a few militaria.
All --in-all,a good day. Tomorrow might swing away from sugar but & expect to sell most of the cherries I picked today .

Uncle Alan :D
