I'm looking for a special knife and thought maybe someone here has seen one. This would be a folder with a "GINSU" type blade..Looks like a Japanese chefs knife or the Farmers customs I see here. Another example would be the Cold Steel "Rescue". There used to be a British company that had them..had an etch of a humpback whale on the blade but I cant remember the name. any clues or links would be much appreciated. Best to all Anrkst6973

Humpback may be a David Boye knife- he does not make the neat opener graphics but I love my folder of his (with marlinspike). A folding Ginsu like knife can be found on AG Russell's site- it is on my shortlist.

The whale logo speaks Myerchin to me. They produce a lot of relatively inexpensive highly stainless knives for marine use. I have a buddy who works in the merchant marine, and he carries a myerchin fixed blade.

Myerchin was the one guys. Why the crap I could'nt remember that name is beyond me!!! must be old age creepin up!!!! Thanks again.
