I don't make many fixed blades so consider this rare. I started teaching a knife making class again so I have been doing forging demonstrations. Here is my latest effort.

The blade is 4 inlong made form Craig Barr egypt pattern damascus that I forged to shape. Long thin blade perfect for trout? Sterling silver and copper Mokume guard and walrus ivory handle. Great fit and finish. Overall length of 8 inches.
Thanks for looking,
CHuck

that is a very nice blade

however, i have always prefered a very short blade (2 1/2-2 3/4")with a "3 finger" handle for use as a trout knife. i find that size works best for gutting trout on the water

ps i usually "catch and release" these days...so what do i know :p  :p
