I do about 80% of my fishing with telescopic panfish poles. I was browsing ebay and noticed several low price telescopic poles from hongkong. I ordered the cheapest one, six sections 1.8 meter long $4.87 shipped . It took 6 days to arrive . I looked decently made Today and last Saturday were cold windy and rainy. I rigged the pole with 4lb test the same leangth as the pole a tiny jig white head with pink hair tipped with wax worm . I have caught dozens of crappie and bluegill couple of small bass and 4 trout:D while others around me fishing were catching nothing, A 13 in trout is like catching a 10# carp on a regular rod , This thing is a blast

It is 1.8 extended 70 inches about 14 inches collapsed butt end is about like a pre school pencil the thing is tiny I caught several big bluegills today they are like fighting a big bass on light line. Very sensitive tip you can feel and see the lightest hit

Of course. 1.8 meters would be about six foot. My metric system ignorance is showing.

I am secure enough to admit that I have been known to fish with...... A BARBIE FISHING POLE!

The Barbie pole rocks! I consistently catch fish with it, much to the dismay of my other fishing poles. Thankfully I have the cover of two daughters with me to justify the Barbie pole.

Which came first, the Barbie fishing pole or the two daughters? Depending on your answer, this could be the most elaborately executed plan I think I've ever heard. :)

Truth be told... the daughters came first. But don't let that dissuade you from getting a Barbie pole. They do make little boy versions too, but they don't catch as much fish.

I've got a friend that used to use his son's little scooby-doo pole for all sorts of fishing. Where he went fishing was just like shooting. If you could put the lure where you wanted it to go, you caught fish. The fish doesn't know how big/long your fishing pole is unless you're out at the beaver pond and stand so close to the shore that your shadow goes across the pond way before you can see into it...
