Hey guys,
Went hunting near Sheffield, Texas at Independence creek.
Decided to go roaming around instead of hunting one day and take a few pictures.
Hope you enjoy them.

Well, since deer season is over, just rolling around looking for a few javelinas. But the ranch that we were on had some deer management issues which allowed us to kill one cull buck, one buck, and one doe. Didn't see many deer, just a few doe which neither of us took down. although we didn't get any deer, we did get 2 javi's.

i really enjoy that axe, my dad bought it a long time ago and it got really dull after a while. So i sharpened it up quite a bit and it is very useful. I was recommended to get the Estwing sportsman axe, which is definitely worth checking into.

must be nice seeing the deer with a high zoom scope. all the deer i see are less then 30 meters away with a shotgun bead on them.

Awesome pics. Im originally from midland so thats my old back yard so to speak. My dad was a geologist so we spent lots of time heading to wells in that area.We go hunting every year closer to houston now. Lucked out and married into 1600 acres out that way.

Great photos, thank you for sharing! :) I love the Desert Tan finish on these knives. I'm so glad I got a 4 with that color!

Looks like you had a great time enjoying the outdoors :D

I love the 700 in .22-250. The rifle and Unertl optic are ~40 (very possibly more) years old and they still punch one hole at 100 yds (if you do your part of course :D). Are you shooting handloads?

Nice looking countryside -- thanks for posting!
fresh killed javelina grilled over a mesquite fire sounds pretty good, too.

Nah, don't know much about handloading. Just using Hornady 50gr vmax
