I am having some frustrations with my ZT 0566. I de-assisted it, cleaned it, and polished the washers and now I can't get the centering/pivot tightness right. When I tighten the pivot so that the blade is centered it is too tight to flip. I can't really even tighten it to the point where the blade is visibly not rubbing the frame and still be loose enough to flip.

Y'all have any tips or tricks? Could it be a dirty pivot screw or hole? Anyone else have this problem

I would say that when you put it back together the liners bent. To fix you tighten the pivot screw as tight as you can without striping it, next you loosen the handle screws, then retighten them, and finally loosen the pivot screw as needed. I know that Emerson knives usually have this problem and this is the remedy that I have found that fixes them, hope it helps.

Search for the paper trick. Worked on all of mine so far. If ulyou can't find it let me know and I'll explain it.

It like torquing down your lug nuts, gotta go in a pattern. It can cause all sorts of issues from blade centering to lock-up issues.
