Having trouble deciding on next Spyderco EDC

I've got over a month to decide, thanks to my self imposed deadline, but my top contenders are these:

Caly3
Spyker
Viele II

I really like the size of the Caly 3 and the wire clip. I really don't like lockbacks though.

The Spyker is a cool looking knife, but a little bigger than I'd like and a little more wild of a recurve than is preferable. Love silver twill though.

The Viele II is a bit of a compromise. I really wish it had a finger choil like these other two, but it is very attractive...I also don't like that the spyderhole is partially covered when closed (by the opposing liner lock). Otherwise, it doesn't suffer the lockback pref loss of the Caly3 or the size loss of the Spyker. But dangit, I really like finger choils.

I've gone through and, thus far, cancelled out the following models. R2, Mini Persian, Kris, Poliwog

I have all three and for me, it's Caly 3 all the way. I don't think you're going to hear many negatives from anyone that's had a chance to handle one. It's just the right combination of everything I like - VG-10 steel, G-10 scales, 3-inch blade, choils with jimping, oversize spyderhole, lockback, dual liners, flat ground, leaf shaped blade, etc...

Absolutely agree with Slatts. For me Caly3 is the best. I love everything about this knife: look, size, shape, materials (VG10 and black G10), low riding wire clip, full flat grind. If I had to choose out of these three, I would not hesitate a second. I have Viele 2 and I did not get Spyker because large marking on the blade.

The R2 is my choice of all the above but it's in the eliminated ones, but the Caly 3 is the slickest. If you need s30V then obviously the Spyker. The Viele II is on sale for $74 at Savson swords. I'd think you'd like the Caly 3 the best. It's by far the most refined. JL

I also have all three and will vote with the crowd, Caly III all the way. You'll find it's a great little knife.
