barlows with delrin scales. Anyone know of any decent production barlows with delrin? I can only seem to find the Russell barlows. I'm starting to lean more towards synthetics on my traditionals. Thanks, Dylan.

Utica/Kutmaster might still make one, but would be stainless steel.

Boker for many years still had a carbon steel/delrin barlow in their line - check the factory web site.

Colonial...maybe but I'm not sure.

Camillus made Remington's from some years back. The older USA Schrade's had lots of offerings in synthetic scales. And many more. There is a mess of them on the Bay at any given time that can be had quite inexpensively. If I were you I'd go there and do a search or two.

Happy hunting,

Anthony

As sunnyd mentioned, you should still be able to find Schrade Barlows...especially in Ivory Delrin, made for scrimshaw/hot stamping...on eBay. Here is one example...

...some have artwork, some do not. Probably $25-$30.

Good hunting.

Thanks everyone for the comments. I have pretty much given up buying and selling on ebay. The last two purchases that I made I ended up waiting for my knives for nearly a month and a half. Still waiting for an Imperial Barlow as a matter of fact that I ordered on March 10. But, I did find waxmanknifeworks.com carry a few Russel barlows in delrin and they take paypal. Just an example. I ordered four knives from them on a Saturday and received them on a Monday, USPS priority. I was surprised.

I have just been checking the local antique shops today with no luck. I have caught a few great buys from antique stores. Sometimes people don't know what they have. The yard sales will be starting soon too.

I ended up getting this Kutmaster and like it so far. I carried it as a third last week and performed very well. Edge holding was better than I expected and I like the more rounded bolsters. Thanks for all the advice guys. Still have to try a Boker. I like the one that you linked, Blues.
