i bought this one used, and knew it was messed up. If all else fails ill send it back to kershaw to have it fixed.
the problem is this.
when you open the knife,it feels like the spring assist is broken.but if you loosen up the pivot screw it works just great. very fast.
whats wrong with that? you may be asking
whenever i loosen up the pivot screw there is a HUGE amount of blade play.
i did find a remedy to this, which would be to take it apart and bend the liner a little more.but like i said it would require dissassembly, and i dont have the right size drivers for the screws.the smallest i have is .05" and thats too big.i believe its standard because the pivot screw takes the standard hex driver.
can anyone help me out with this?
it may be that the previous owner used a little too much locktite on the pivot screw, and it affected the pivot area of the blade.it works fine as a regular liner lock, but thats not the point of this particular knife.
thanks,
-mo.
