What are some good/decent brands for hawaiian shirts? For some reason they don't have that good of a selection here in Canada :) so I'll have to buy online.

The problem is that there are a million sites selling them and I don't really feel like sifting through.

Thanks, I guess you would know. I already found one that I thought was pretty cool from their website that I'll probably end up ordering.

Are there any other (possibly cheaper) shirts that you would recommend?

and they go on sale at Macy's/May Co. bringing the price down from a lofty $80.00 or so, USD, down to $25.00, sometimes.

That said, I find that their rayon is quite wrinkle prone and suffers from fabric "tears" quite a bit.

My vote is for the heavier weave Hilo Hattie cotton. It looks good right out of the dryer and is quite durable.

Reyns Spooner, Kahala, or Tori Richard. Expect to pay at least fifty dollars. The better quality shirts will last a lot longer. They are better made and the design on the pocket matches up when they sew it to the shirt; so the pocket "disappears".

Patagonia makes some nice Hawaiian print shirts. If you want clothes that will last longer than you want to keep them, Patagonia is a good choice.

Definetly, I have three patagonia Hawians and they rock. Especially as I got them from www.sierratradingpost.com makred down from 75.00 to 25.00 STP also has a lot of other shirts in trhis style at some dramatic discounts and there return policy is 100 percent any time for any reason full refund so ya don't have to worry to much about hwat you get and if ya like it.

Check'em out.

I don't pay much attention to the brands, although I can't afford the Tommy Bahama brands and others like that. I get mine whenever I see them on sale at Dillards and Sears, etc...

I second (or third) the Patagonia option. They are overbuild, will last like iron, and every year they make a PatAloha style unique to that year. Get them at the end of the season or at www.SierraTradingPost.com to get a 50% discount or more. I have a closet full.

Sorry Edgetrip, I posted before I read the entire thread. Didn't mean to duplicate your information.
