Mark Williams (Williams Forge, Hampton, VA) created this 6' 1" "Hawg Spear" and it is way cool! With this in the house, I'll probably put my 12 ga slug gun back in the safe. Talk about "make my day"..............
Stitching this panorama together was sure a piece of work - just about drove me nuts! Hope ya'll enjoy lookin' at it.

Nice work but you left out one very important item.......a cross-piece below the spearhead to keep a charging hog from running right up the shaft and into your arms!!!!!!!!

I am very serious about this and please check it out a little further.......hate to see someone with your talent get injured. :)

I had thought about making a toggle for it, but decided that it would be more exciting to use a knife to help dispatch the offending swine if it decided to ride up the shaft to get you. This became a 'Hawg spear" after it's original intent never came to pass. The spear was to be the sole weapon in a bear hunt with a Brother-in -law that turned out to be all mouth. If you ever need a toggle Buddy, I'll be happy to make one.

I just keep coming back to get another look at your "Hawg Spear" Mark. Even though I know it's at home and even though I put the panorama of it together - whenever I have a minute at work - I just like to see it.

It is probably difficult for folks who haven't had a chance to get right up next to it - feel the heft of it - and the absolutely perfect balance of it - to get very excited about it.

It's a wonderful piece of work, Mark - carefully thought out and properly executed. Thank you! I'm proud to be its caretaker.
Buddy
